I’m looking for an energetic and experienced Personal Assistant to help me lead our team in our strategic ministry of the Word of God to more than 20,000 children, youth and families every year.

You will have the primary task of providing me with high-level support, including management of my diary and preaching opportunities, travel arrangements, calls and emails, agendas and minutes, and all the other random things that hit my desk.

You will have a passion for Word ministry to young people, previous experience in a PA role, strong MS Office and secretarial abilities, a highly professional and confidential manner with excellent communication skills, and the willingness to rise to the challenges of this busy and varied role.

Your office overlooks Port Hacking in the Royal National Park, only 15 mins from Sutherland. It’s a permanent, full-time role starting in March.

Apply immediately by emailing your resume to me at jodie.mcneill@youthworks.net and enclose a reference from your church minister.

I’ve been trying to hold off, but for no longer. This weekend I signed up for Twitter, the latest trend in online social networking.

My blog on this new Internet phenomenon is now live at sydneyanglicans.net. Have a read, and join in the discussion.

This week I’m spending three solid days ‘on team’ with the Deer Park Outdoor Ministry team. Check out my up-to-the-minute micro-blog at twitter.com/jodiemcneill (or just look to the left of the screen on my website.

One aspect of our church gatherings that causes some division and confusion is the practice of clapping. It should come as no surprise that the current March 2009 edition of Southern Cross includes a letter to the Editor raising this very issue in relation to the Connect ’09 Big Day In.

Should we clap or not? Read my thoughts in my blog at sydneyanglicans.net.
