Happy New Year to everyone. This is my first official post on my new-look website, and just to make it even higher-tech, I’m writing it from my BlackBerry.
I’ve moved my website from a Coranto CMS to WordPress, and it seems to have been a great move. Interesting trying to migrate the posts, but I think I’ve worked out the process.
This new site should go live this week, when I’ve got the bugs out of the system.

Funky theme! It’s a bit OS X-esque but I think it’s nifty… plus in a month or two people will be calling it “Vista-esque” having forgotten it imitated something else, and then you’ll be ahead of the design game! 😉
Do BlackBerries do RSS?
What’re you using for the upcoming events bit? Looks like the EventCalendar plugin, is it? I’m trying to use that with mixed success at the Matthias Paddington website… seems to have its quirks, but I think we might just be stretching it a bit too far. Looks very tidy the way you’ve got it setup there.
I’m a fan 🙂
Thanks for being the first ever comment, Josh! And thanks also for introducing me to WordPress. It really is a terrific program.
I’ve spent what must be something like a hundred hours on this website, much of it playing with the old info from Coranto, and then manually categorising every post.
But, I’m on holidays, and I’ve adopted this task as my holiday ‘craft.’
Anyway, I’ve switched from the previous theme, because this one works properly. The previous one had 11 bugs that I counted. When I get a chance I may well advise the writer, and hopefully they will fix it and I can perhaps load it up again.
Yes, BB’s do RSS. I use a program called BerryBloglines. It is a very nice interface with your Bloglines account. And it’s free.
And, yes, I’m using EventCalendar, as suggested by you. Yes, it has a few quirks, but it should be right for me. If you come up with a better alternative, let me know and I might try it.
Thanks for your encouragement!!
